European expansion leads AGT to open a new office in Porto

AGT Robotics celebrated a new milestone in its international expansion with the opening of a new office in Porto.

Following increased investment in the European market in the last years, which included establishing a dedicated team in Portugal, the company is now taking another step forward in its growth with the inauguration of a space that reflects the expansion of its local team and the strengthening of its position in Europe.

Located in Porto, this new office will enable the growth of the team, with a continued focus on research and the development of innovative solutions for the steel structures industry. In addition to this new space, AGT also operates a factory in Romariz, which recently received a demonstration unit designed for development testing and presentations to clients and partners.

A strategic step forward in AGT Robotics’ european growth

“This change is a natural step in the path we’ve been on over the past few years, driven by the growth of our team in Portugal,” says Germano Veiga, CTO of AGT Robotics. “With a strong focus on research and the development of new products, particularly software, our goal is to keep strengthening the team to deliver innovative solutions to the market for optimizing robotic welding processes.”

From a broader perspective on the company’s expansion strategy, Louis Dicaire, Chief Operating Officer at AGT Robotics, adds: “After installing more than 100 systems in North America and consolidating our position as market leaders, the time has come to replicate that success in the European market.”
